A word from the man himself:
DJing? Well, I had no plans for that when I was 16, I used to hang around a particular night spot in Merseyside with my lighting rig waiting to pounce on bands that turned up without any - for a fee of course.
I ended up spending so much time next to the DJ's that I learnt how to use the equipment just by watching them. Eventually they realised I could take over when they were too pissed, that's how it all started for me.
Since then...
...I've been in London and I've had the privilege to have been asked to play at many prestigious venues and events… I could tell you loads of juicy stuff about some of the people and bands I have worked with a lot of whom you've probably heard of but I'll probably be sued for slander so see me privately about that stuff.
Finally...
To all the arrogant DJ's out there…. Kiss my arse! And, to all the people in the road where I grew up with hi fi's louder than mine….. Fuck you.

Basically what will happen every Tuesday from July 3rd is, you’ll get to the door, you pay a mere £1 to get in, then pints of the drink known as lager are £1, then there’ll be bands, sometimes there won’t be bands, and resident DJ – 45rpm – will be on the wheels of rock n roll steel shaking your bass cans with the best music (see a huge list of what we like on our myspace – www.myspace.com/commonpeoplesheep ) and then you’ll dance, you’ll drink, you might even meet your next notch on the bed post or just a friend to wave your arms in the air like you just….I won’t finish that sentence. It’ll be savagely good I can promise you that!
EVERYONE and ANYONE can make a request before they even get there by adding a comment on the Myspace, which we check regularly. So rather than asking on the night (which you can do still!) and being told I’ve not got the exact song you want, we’ll get it, and we’ll play it!
Common People has some great bands lined up, so get in! If you’re in a band and you fit what we’re doing, let us know, and you can play! Message us on the myspace, or if your not in a band, just add us and say hello, request a song, send us pictures of you at Common People!
