Ladies & Gentleman, we welcome you once more to the 'The Glitter Room'....@ Black Sheep Bar, Croydon's only alternative... http://www.blacksheepbar.com

Our aim? To provide a little Vegas glamour on an otherwise dull & dreary Sunday evening & a true alternative to pricey London shows & pricey London bars!

This month we've gone bigger & better! Comedy, live music, burlesque....and the hottest retro tunes in town courtesy of DJ $uave!

Your performers :

The Knickerbocker Glories - a brand spanking new London Burlesque Troupe & WINNERS of the Best New Troupe at the London Burlesque Festival 2009! They sing, dance, shimmy, shake, wink & wiggle and generally provide a hugely satisfying dollop of entertainment. The troupe were taught by the wonderful Jo King (aka Goodtime Mama Jojo) at the London Academy of Burlesque & comprise of Bettie Bottom Dollar, Miss Ruby Woo & vocalist Cherry Bomb -- "Like watching something from the West End" quote from Tournament of Tease.

Rajesh, Bollywood Lounge Singer! - 6 million screaming women didn't want to let him go...but The Glitter Room have got him all the way from Mumbai, India!! -- "The Award Winning Ex-Bollywoood Child Star - A Head Wobblin', Sitar Twangin', Poppadom Smashin' Entertainer...Like a milk chocolate Sammy Davis Jnr". --- "Without him, there would be no brown comedy talent in the UK" - Jim Davidson

Miss Dolly Rose - hailing from the wilds of the West Country (land of witches, fairies and cider) where she dreamed of becoming a burlesque performer, before descending upon the grandeur of London town where she began performing in 2008. After some expert tuition from Jo King at the London Academy of Burlesque and Gypsy Charms at the Ministry of Burlesque, Miss Dolly Rose began her quest to bring the wit out in burlesque, drawing on her dance background in ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary to produce delightfully funny routines based on 50's stereotypes, fairy tale princesses and even going back to her roots with a West Country themed pitchfork, hay and cider extravaganza!

Lena Mae - London based fresh and fanciful burlesque performer + model. In love with the flawless glamour of old and also rather attached to a few modern stylings, creating performances which fuse the two in perfect harmony. With a background in contemporary dance training, Lena creates a sexy, sweet and sometimes silly burlesque experience for her adoring audiences.

Miss Rose Thorne - "The sassy lassie with the classy chassis" -- Another London Academy of Burlesque student, she has been performing around London and the UK since September 2007. 2008 saw Miss Thorne make her US debut in New York City; she also made her print debut in the French edition of Playboy. Rose won 1st place at the September 2007 Tournement of Tease, with her act "Squaw Blimey!". The act also won first place at the House of Mirth. She has performed in London at Volupte, Madam JoJos, The Arts Club, The Met Bar, and Bethnal Green Working Mens Club.

Tallulah Mockingbird - Sassy, sophisticated siren of the burlesque arts seeks those in need of a jolly good laugh - with a whole lot more than just a nod and a wink - for mutually beneficial relationship! Tallulah has danced with, for, at or around Kate Moss' 34th birthday party, Immodesty Blaize, Afternoon Tease, Cabaret Salon at Volupte, Bethnal Green Working Mens Club, Bestival, Velvet and many others.

Sophia St. Villier - Hailing from New Zealand, this lovely lady is shimmying her way on to the London burlesque scene. The titian-haired teaser is delighting audiences with her classic and inventive striptease.

Baby Blue Bergman - Born on golden sands with creamy white skin this baby of burlesque is a golden haired Cleopatra. With her flawless creamy skin and unpretentious stature, she has been inspired by silver screen beauties. She is Marilyn's curves, Ingrid’s classic beauty and Kathryn Hepburn’s spunk…after they discovered The Cramps and Tom Waits’ gutter blues. Playful by nature, when she’s not frolicking in fields with daisies in her hair or sitting in a Parisian courtyard reading Colette, she’s likely to be on stage performing something cheeky– whether she be a naughty chambermaid snooping in her lady’s boudoir, a saloon strumpet with a penchant for whiskey and bad men, or donning a red cape and basket in order to seduce a wolf…either way the sexiest thing since Casablanca, this lady from down under, will tease, taunt and seduce you.

Trixie Lix - She's cheeky, Northern & far too gobby for her own good. And she likes getting her bangers out in public. Hurrah! Trixy Lix is very new to the glitzy world of Burlesque. She burst on to the scene this year with a Pink Panther inspired act at the Tournament of Tease in Bethnal Green's Working Men's Club & now looks set to take the London scene by storm!

Self Proclaimed fashionistas Ms Calico Cadillac and Ms Farrah Fontaine have been creating burlesque loveliness from the second they met. With Farrah's exquisite teeth and Calico's bountiful bosoms, together they hold the ingredients for a tantalising tease of a performance!

Miss Glory Pearl, the UK's leading Burly-Pole artist, blending classic burlesque, pole dance and stunning aerial with sparkles, smiles and a healthy dose of British self-deprecation.
